Prelude is a collection of seven objects, each produced in a limited edition of 20 samples by THE GALLERY at Brussels. These objects are rattan mats tensioned in metal structures. This tension imparts them a rigidity which permits reducing the elements of the structure. A dialogue at the basketry workshop, ESAT Galieni who were used to fabrication of traditional pieces, promoted the creation of new tools of production adapted to our requirements. This interaction allowed us to catch a glimpse of the possibilities of development and innovation in this sector.
