The DOWNTOWN library has a different construction from the tables. Based on four vertical pillars and five horizontal wooden rings, its overall structure uses the same oval shape, wide and thin at the same time light and strong. The joint between the pillars and the rings are designed in such way that it gives a structural support to the shelves. This intricate detail is achieved with the 5 axis engineering used by Spalli. The glass panels placed on top and bottom visually alleviates the architecture of the piece. The three middle trays are covered in leather to give a rich feel. Book ends are provided as an accessory in the system to create partitions. The DOWNTOWN library is a symbol of balance between high-end technology and ancestral know-how.
