When creating the Lenta lounge chair for Madheke, we first thought about the physical construction of the object. With the aim of combining tradition and modernity, the guideline was to break down the skeleton into 2 parts.
A first part in metal sheet cut by laser and then welded, and a second surface in solid wood. This complex structure reveals areas that are mainly made of wood and on other sections areas that are only metallic. It is through this play of volumes and materials that the Lenta lounge chair by Madheke becomes a completely singular and unique object.
The lightness of metal is combined with the opacity of wood. But it is also in the care given to the details, sometimes not very visible, that the object reinforces its haute couture dimension. The back of the seat is entirely covered in stitched leather, the armrest is also covered in leather on one part. Finally, the textile cover offers a unique seating comfort. This fluffy surface is simply laid and maintained on specific points of the structure. It provides the necessary comfort. Folded on itself at the top, it becomes an essential cushion for the definition of optimal ergonomics.
